
Sports win 2nd straight over Pensacola

Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
The Shreveport Sports won for the second consecutive night over Pensacola, winning 6-1 Saturday at Fair Grounds Field. Deacon Burns led the 14-hit Shreveport attack with three hits, a single, double and triple. With the triple it was his 100th hit of the year, the first Sports player to reach that plateau this season. Chad Gambill had two doubles and two RBI's, while Wade Robinson and Austin Pride also had two hits. Tommy Bryant chipped in with two hits, including his fifth home run of the year. Mal Winters pitched eight inning to record his seventh win of the season. Shreveport and Pensacola will close out the three-game series Sunday afternoon at Fair Grounds Field. Game time will be 2:05 with the broadcast on AM 1130, KWKH.
