
Sports defeat San Angelo in 10 innings

Shreveport-Bossier Captains News Release
Enohel Polanco hit a walk-off home run in the 10th inning to give the Shreveport Sports a 7-6 win over San Angelo Friday night at Fair Grounds Field. The home run by Polanco, his fourth of the season, came off losing hurler Luis Ramirez.
San Angelo had taken a 4-0 lead in the first inning, highlighted by a three-run home run by J.P. Schmidt. The Colts had increased the lead to 6-0 after three innings before Shreveport made their comeback.
The Sports scored six runs in the fourth inning on six hits including the 17th home run of the season by Chad Gambill.
The score remained tied until Polanco's lead off home run in the 10th inning as the Sports have taken the first two games of the series.
Shreveport and San Angelo will meet in the third game of the four game series Saturday at Fair Grounds Field. Game time 7:05.
