SPORTING KC DEFEATED TORONTO FC 2-1 AT BMO FIELD
Sporting Kansas City defeated Toronto FC 2-1 at BMO Field last Saturday. C.J. Sapong opened the scoring for Sporting KC in the 18th minute of the match with a calmly placed header past Joe Bendik. The build up featured a lofted service by Graham Zusi that Dom Dwyer headed across the penalty box to Sapong for the finish.
Darel Russell equalized for Toronto FC in the 38th minute. Rey gained possession for Toronto FC on the left flank, slipped the ball to Russell at the top of the 18-yard-box and the Englishman beat Jimmy Nielsen to the near post.
Shortly after the halftime, Sapong found the back of the net off a Chance Myers cross to give Sporting KC the lead and their third consecutive win in League play.
SPORTING KC AND THE PHILADELPHIA UNION MEET FOR SECOND TIME IN 2013
Sporting KC faces the Philadelphia Union for the first time since securing a 3-1 road result in Major League Soccer's season opener on March 2. Friday's match will be broadcast nationally on NBC Sports Network with coverage beginning at 7 p.m. CT.
The Union got on the board first courtesy of Sebastien Le Toux in the 17th minute. Graham Zusi leveled the score for Sporting KC, capitalizing on a Zac MacMath rebound. Zusi assisted Oriol Rosell's game-winner from a set piece 30-yards out and played a hand in Claudio Bieler's first MLS goal and final goal of the match.
Sporting KC is undefeated against Philadelphia in three home matches all-time and has only suffered one loss in seven meetings.

FINAL GROUP STAGE MATCH FOR CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGE
CD Olimpia defeated Real Esteli FC 1-0 in CONCACAF Champions League Group 2 on Tuesday. Olimpia now has six points in the group, one point behind Sporing KC. The two teams will meet at Sporting Park for the group stage finale on October. 23.
Sporting Kansas City will need to win or draw in the match to advance to the quarterfinals. A limited number of tickets are still available for the match, beginning at 7 p.m. CT, and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com or at the Sporting Park Box Offices on gameday.
ERIK PALMER-BROWN NAMED TO U.S. U-18 MEN'S NATIONAL TEAM ROSTER FOR UPCOMING CAMP
Sporting KC homegrown defender Erik Palmer-Brown was named to the 36-man roster for the U.S. U-18 Men's National Team Training Camp currently underway at U.S. Soccer's National Training Center in Carson, Calif.
Palmer-Brown featured in an intra-squad scrimmage today, earning the start in his team's 4-3 loss. For the remainder of the camp, the players will have several training sessions and compete against two local club teams on Saturday, Sept. 28. At the conclusion of camp, head coach Javier Perez will select an 18-player roster to travel from Oct. 6-14 to represent the U.S. at a four-team tournament in Limoges, France.
AURELIEN COLLIN PICKS OUT PAJAMAS WITH SIX-YEAR-OLD VICTORY PROJECT CHAMPION
The Victory Project honored six-year-old Jasmin Booth in the Victory Suite at Sporting Park earlier this year and raised more than $1,000 at the game to support her charity, Operation Jammies, in its mission to provide pajamas for youth undergoing treatments at local hospitals.
Booth - diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia last year - teamed up with Sporting KC All-Star and fashion guru Aurelien Collin for a one-of-a-kind shopping spree at an area Target location to pick out and purchase more than four carts full of apparel for boys and girls of all ages. The pajamas will soon be donated to patients at Children's Mercy Pediatric Hematology/Oncology department.
BRADEN'S HOPE/SPORTING KC CALENDARS NOW ON SALE
For the second consecutive year, Sporting KC has partnered with Braden's Hope to raise funds and awareness for the fight against childhood cancer. Sporting KC fans can support the cause by purchasing the Braden's Hope/Sporting KC calendar. The 2014 calendar features 12 different Sporting KC players paired with childhood cancer heroes.
Calendars can be purchased at Sporting Style stores at Sporting Park as well as online at bradenshop.org. 100% of the proceeds from calendar sales go directly to raise awareness and funds for targeted treatments of childhood cancer.

EA SPORTS' FIFA '14 was released on Tuesday. Sporting Kansas City All-Star Graham Zusi is featured on Sporting KC's custom cover.
SPORTING KC ON AIR
The Sporting KC Show aired on Sports Radio 810 WHB on Tuesday. Hosts Callum Williams, Andy Edwards and Carter Augustine were joined by Sporting KC striker C.J. Sapong and Philadelphia Union commentator J.P. Dellacamera to preview Friday's nationally televised Eastern Conference match-up at Sporting Park.
Sapong, coming off a two-goal game to help Sporting KC secure a 2-1 victory over Toronto FC last weekend, spoke about finding his rhythm heading into the remaining five MLS matches. To hear Sapong's thoughts on his recent run of form, listen to the full podcast here.

PETER VERMES TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE NATIONAL SOCCER HALL OF FAME ON OCTOBER 11
U.S. Soccer announced that the former U.S. Men's National Team forwards Peter Vermes and Joe-Max Moore will be inducted into the National Soccer Hall of Fame on Oct. 11 in a ceremony taking place at 2 p.m. CT on the Sprint Plaza at Sporting Park in Kansas City, Kan.

Sporting KC supporters can renew their season tickets online through Sporting Kansas City Account Manager or by contacting their Client Services Executive directly. The last day to guarantee a Season Ticket Member's current seat location is this Friday, September 27.
2014 SEASON TICKETS
Sporting Kansas City is now taking deposits for new season ticket members for the 2014 season at state-of-the-art Sporting Park. The non-refundable deposits are $150 per seat for premium areas and $50 per seat for all other sections and provide fans with priority position for securing full season tickets in 2014.
Additionally, all fans on the Sporting Kansas City season ticket member waiting list will be given access to pre-sale opportunities for select special events at Sporting Park (subject to availability).
