Orlando City SC News Release

ORLANDO, Fla.- Sporting Kansas City (Major League Soccer) announced Friday that the club and Defender Yann Songo'o have mutually agreed to terminate his contract. Songo'o's loan with Orlando will end due to his contract termination with Orlando's MLS affiliate.

Songo'o was originally signed to Sporting Kansas City this past December, and was loaned to Orlando City as part of the affiliation agreement with Dom Dwyer, Christian Duke and Jon Kempin. Dwyer was recalled Thursday to Sporting after breaking the USL PRO single season scoring record with 15 goals in 13 games played for Orlando. Duke and Kempin remain with Orlando and will be available for selection on Saturday.

The defender was tied for most minutes played on the squad with Winger Luke Boden with 1,080 in 12 regular season matches. Songo'o scored one goal in 2013, coming against the Los Angeles Blues on April 19.
