SPOKANE, WASHINGTON - The Spokane Shock are pleased to announce the return of 2-time BCS National Champion, 2-time SEC and 2011 Capitol One Bowl champion Blake Sims to the 2021 roster.
The former University of Alabama standout is best known for holding the school's single season passing yardage crown (3,487) until 2018. The Georgia native also ranks 1st in Alabama single game total offensive yards (484), 2nd in single game passing yards (445), 4th in single season touchdowns (28), 6th in single game touchdowns (4), and 9th in career passing touchdowns (30). The versatile quarterback played a key role in Alabama's 2014 playoff run. Post-collegiately, Sims signed with the CFL's Toronto Argonauts, and spent time in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
