Spokane Shock News Release

SPOKANE, WASHINGTON - The Spokane Shock today announce details regarding their upcoming 2021 season, which kicks off May 15th at the Spokane Area. The Shock will play a 14-game regular season, led by head coach Billy Back. The team kicks off training camp May 1st in Spokane with closed practices. Training camp will be one week and host 40 players vying for 30 spots on the team. The Shock roster will consist of 21 players and 9 practice squad players. Final roster cuts are May 9th.

Shock Fans at the Games

After a long-awaited layoff, the Spokane Shock are back. In 2021 Shock fans will be able to enjoy some home games live! The Shock hope to host fans at six (6) out of their seven (7) regular season home games. Tickets have tentatively been scheduled to go on sale in early May for our home games in June, July and August. For June, the Shock look to have 25% seating capacity, in July the Shock hope to get up to 50% seating capacity with 100% seating capacity soon to follow. "We are thrilled to be able to offer fans the opportunity to watch the team play in person this season, and we are excited about the enthusiasm that has been very apparent through communication with the fans in our area who have been waiting to watch football again live.", is what Shock owner, Sam Adams, was quoted as saying.

All PFD protocols were developed to meet or exceed the recommendations and requirements set forth by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Public Health - Spokane & Spokane County. The PFD is continuing to closely monitor CDC guidelines, public health advancements, and industry best practices to ensure the procedures and protocols put into place are current and effective.

There are two changes to the Shock schedule for 2021. Due to current COVID protocols at the Spokane Arena and the arena being used as a vaccination site, the Shock have cancelled their pre-season game versus the Tampa Bay Tornadoes and fans will not be able to attend the first home game versus the Frisco Fighters. All Shock fans will be invited to a viewing party at the Ruby River Hotel to watch the game versus Frisco with former Shock players, current practice quad players and dance team members. Details to follow.
