Spokane Shock News Release
SPOKANE, WASHINGTON - The reborn Spokane Shock today announce they have re-signed their Quarterback, Charles McCullum, for the 2021 season. McCullum is a two-time IFL MVP who only has 1,000 yards until the All-Time Indoor Career Passing Yardage crown is his own.
The Atlanta, Georgia native spent the past two guiding the high-powered Carolina Cobras offense. In 2019, he topped the NAL in Passing Yards (2883), Passing TDs (66), Total Offense Yards (3007), and Total Offense TDs (74) while the team finished second in the NAL. In Carolina's inaugural campaign, the Cobras won the 2018 NAL Championship as McCullum once again bested the league in Passing Yards (3,310), Passing TDs (87), Pass Completions (296), Total Offense Yards (3,392) and Total Offense TDs (94) in 2019. From 2016-2017 McCullum was at the helm in Wichita Falls, earning two consecutive MVP titles and defeating the Arizona Rattlers & Sioux Falls Storm twice in the same 12-4 season.
McCullum quarterbacked the Nashville Venom to back-to-back playoff appearances in 2014 and 2015 including the league championship game his second season as well as leading the 2013 Cedar Rapids Titans to the United Conference Championship. He began his professional career playing two seasons (2010-2011) for the Kent Predators and Seattle Timberwolves. The 6'4, 205-pound signal caller played collegiately at Stillman College.
