SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (September 15, 2015) - Arizona United SC (10-15-1) returns to Arizona in its final home match of 2015 against Oklahoma City Energy FC (12-7-8) on Wednesday, September 16. Kick off from Scottsdale Stadium is set for 7:30 p.m., and gates open at 6:30 p.m. Parking around Scottsdale Stadium is free.
United was eliminated from playoff contention following a 1-0 loss to Real Monarchs SLC on September 12. The club, which currently sits in 9th place in the Western Conference at 31 points, can finish as high as eighth place in the Western Conference.
Arizona can also play the spoiler role. Not only does the club look to avenge its 3-0 loss to the Energy on July 31, but it can also keep Oklahoma City from finishing at the top of the Western Conference and earning a bye in the USL playoffs. A loss for Oklahoma City, who is currently third in the Western conference with 43 points, would assure the club couldn't earn the conference's top spot.
United is led by season and franchise scoring leader, Long Tan, who has scored fourteen goals, and notched two assists this year. Behind Tan is Dennis Chin, Jose 'Chiva' Cuevas and Jonathan Top, who all have three goals for Arizona United in the 2015.
