
Spitfires Sign Windsor Native Noah Morneau to an OHL Standard Player Agreement

The Windsor Spitfires are excited to announce that Noah Morneau has agreed to an OHL Standard Player Agreement and will suit up for the Red, White and Navy in the 2022-23 season.
The Windsor, Ontario product stands at 6'1 and weighs 170 pounds. Morneau was selected in the 2020 OHL Priority Selection in the 15th round.
Morneau explains he is a creative player with excellent vision and likes to play game offensively. As a center he takes care of his defensive responsibilities first. Morneau said he likes to model his game after Patrice Bergeron.
Upon being drafted Morneau signed with the Junior B Lasalle Vipers and produced each night with 45 points in 39 games.
Morneau spoke on signing with his hometown club.
"I feels pretty special to sign here." Morneau said. "It is what I've always wanted since I got drafted here and since I went to games growing up."
Morneau also took the time to speak about being a 15th round pick.
"I would recommend to keep working and wanting to prove that I could have been taken higher and hard work goes a long way."
GM Bill Bowler discussed the acquisition of Morneau.
"Morneau is a versatile forward that has earned a contract with our hockey club." Bill Bowler said. "We have seen Noah develop through the Lasalle Vipers and he deserves this opportunity."
