West Springfield, February 2, 2004 – Springfield Spirit President and Owner Stephen Fox announced that the Springfield Spirit roster has recently undergone some changes with players Swin Cash and Kara Wolters.

Swin Cash is currently in preparation for the 2004 Olympic team and her return to the Spirit is all pending on her tryouts for this years team. Stephen Fox stated, "We are happy for Swin to get this opportunity, as it is every athletes dream to represent the United States in the Olympics. We wish her all the best in her tryouts and when the opportunity comes again we will do our best to bring Swin back to Connecticut and Massachusetts."

Kara Wolters has accepted a contract to play in China for several weeks. Fox stated, "Losing Kara hurts us both on the court and off as she is a terrific person to have in both venues. We wish Kara nothing but the best in her time overseas in China and we hope to bring her back in mid March for the end of the season."
