Lowell Spinners News Release
LOWELL, Mass. - The Lowell Spinners, Class-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, are pleased to announce their July 11 game against the Brooklyn Cyclones will be the first ever "Bark in the Park" night at LeLacheur Park, where fans are encouraged to bring their dogs along for the game.
The Spinners "Bark in the Park Night," sponsored by Belvedere Veterinary Hospital and Wellness Natural Food for Pets, represents a chance for dog owners to bring their favorite four-legged friend to the game with them. There is a special Wellness Natural Food for Pets seating section where dog owners can receive complimentary tickets for both themselves and their dog.
As part of the game's festivities the Spinners will welcome Grammy winning recording artists The BaHa Men to LeLacheur Park. Famous for their hit song, "Who Let the Dogs Out," the BaHa Men will perform throughout the day, do a meet-and-greet and sign autographs for fans and perform their record setting limbo act in between innings.
"For years we have played, "Who Let the Dogs Out" during our games to get the crowd fired up," said Spinners VP of Communications Jon Goode. "To have the BaHa Men at LeLacheur Park to perform the song in person is going to create a night for all to remember."
In addition to the performance by the BaHa Men the Spinners will welcome LeLacheur Park staple "Jumpin' Jack Flash" and the Blue Dog Group to perform their Frisbee tricks in between innings and no dog themed promotion would be complete without the Spinners own Dogman.
Tickets for the Wellness Natural Food for Pets seating section is limited and tickets will be issued on a first come, first serve basis. Tickets can be reserved by calling the Spinners Box Office, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. using the "Bark in the Park" code: "Ruff Ruff."
The Spinners open their 15th season of baseball in Lowell when they take on the Tri-City ValleyCats Monday, June 21 at LeLacheur Park. All games can be heard live on air at 980 WCAP AM or www.980wcap.com.
