
Spinderella, DJ Hurricane Highlight Pelicans' Postgame Concert Series

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Spinderella and DJ Hurricane will headline the Myrtle Beach Pelicans' postgame concert series presented by Bojangles, 98.5 Kiss FM and Coast 97.3 on June 14 and July 19, respectively. The Pelicans will host a third postgame concert on August 2 with a celebrity DJ to be announced at a later date.
Best known as a member of the hip-hop group Salt-n-Pepa, Spinderella occasionally appeared in The Salt-n-Pepa Show, a reality TV series which aired on the VH1 network. Spinderella is part of the American Diabetes Association Celebrity Cabinet, a TV ONE UnSung Ambassador, supporter of Saving Our Daughters Mentoring Program and founder of the Spinderella DJ Academy. Her June 14 concert at TicketReturn.Com Field will be her second with the club in as many years.
One of New York City's premier hip-hop artists, DJ Hurricane is best known for his work with Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members, the Beastie Boys. Hurricane has also been a member of the groups Solo Sounds and The Afros and also recorded three solo albums. His second album, Don't Sleep, featured the hit "Come Get It" which peaked at No. 73 on the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs list.
All three of the Pelicans' postgame concerts in the 2018 series coincide with Thirsty Thursdays presented by Better Brands, Celebrations Nitelife, Axelrod & Associates and WBTW News13. From 6-8 p.m., fans can enjoy $1 12 oz. Bud & Bud Light drafts, $2 16 oz. cans and half-price Duplin Wine. Each concert will start approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the game.
