
Spikes Take Close Win in Game Two

It was an even battle in game two between the Spikes and Crosscutters, but
State College came out on top with a 3-2 victory. Pitching dominated the game as each team's pitching staff
combined for 11 strikeouts.
The Spikes came out of the gate hot, loading the bases on its first three batters, setting up a two-run first
inning. The Cutters cut the deficit in half in the second inning with left fielder Logan Flood scoring on a
passed ball.
The Cutters tied the game in the top of the fifth with an RBI double by first baseman Lance Logsdon, scoring
shortstop Isaac Nunez.
Logsdon and Flood each had a two-hit ballgame with Logsdon earning the only RBI for Williamsport. The
Cutters were 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position.
The Cutters remain in first place in the Draft League despite an away record of 4-10.
