Spartans to Attend Special Leukemia Benefit

La Crosse, WI: Several players from the La Crosse Spartans, a second-year franchise in the Indoor Football League, will be attending a very special leukemia benefit this Saturday. The team will be attending a benefit for Raylin Cooksey, a three-year old girl who has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). She was diagnosed on February 11 of this year and will be undergoing treatments for the next two and ½ years. Her mother Nicole, is a teacher at the Onalaska Middle School.
The event will take place at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday, May 14th at the Onalaska American Legion. The benefit will feature autographs and photos with the players as the team will be auctioning off a four-pack of tickets to an upcoming Spartans game. In addition, many other items will be available for auction, a 50/50 raffle, face painting and other children's activities will take place and cash donations will also be accepted.
