South Bend, Indiana (September 10, 2013)- Your South Bend Silver Hawks have advanced to the Midwest League Championship Series. The championship is a 5 series game against Quad Cities River Bandits. South Bend Silver Hawks will host the first two games of the series.

The first game of the series will begin on Wednesday, September 11th and the second will follow on Thursday, September 12th at Four Winds Field in South Bend. Your Silver Hawks invite all military, police, fire and EMS workers to the game Wednesday, those who present an ID will be given two complimentary tickets to honor 9/11. Wednesday is also Kids Eat Free, all children 12 and under receive a voucher for hot dog, chips and soda. Thursday is Thirsty Thursday with $1.00 beer and soda and a spectacular fireworks show to wrap up the night. First pitch for both games is set for 7:05p.m.

Silver Hawks' Midwest League Championship tickets are on sale for the general public and can be purchased through the Silver Hawks' Box office in person, or by calling 574-235-9988, and online at www.SilverHawks.com . The Box Office is open Monday through Friday 10am-5pm.

The South Bend Silver Hawks are a Class A minor league team affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks. The team is owned and operated by Swing-Batter-Swing, LLC whose sole shareholder is Andrew T. Berlin of Chicago, IL.
