Sounders Look to Solidify Playoff Position This Weekend

RICHMOND KICKERS IN TOWN FOR SATURDAY'S MATCH The Kickers visit Seattle on Saturday, August 13th at 7pm. A win on Saturday vaults the Sounders into second place in the USL, breaking the current three way tie between the Sounders, Kickers and Vancouver Whitecaps.

Tickets will be on sale at the Qwest Field box office beginning at 4pm- they start at $12.00.

PLAYOFF STRUCTURE

The top six teams advance to the playoffs. The top two teams receive first round byes. The 3rd seed plays the 6th seed and the 4th seed plays the 5th seed in the first round on September 16-18th. The second round of playoffs begin September 23-25th. The series are home-and-home series, aggregately scored. The championship match is October 1st.

After Saturday night?s match, the Sounders have only six regular season matches remaining. They travel to Portland on August 20th and are back home to host Puerto Rico on August 26th. The Sounders make their last road trip of the season to Charleston, Atlanta and Puerto Rico (Sept 1- Sept 7). They finish out the season hosting the top team in the USL, and last years champions the Montreal Impact on September 9th. The September 9th match is Youth Soccer Appreciation night, honoring former Sounder Jason Farrell. Call the Sounders at 206.622.3415 for more details.

A reminder - flex pack vouchers and / or gift certificates ARE ONLY VALID FOR REGULAR SEASON HOME GAMES. If you have vouchers or certificates, you'll need to redeem those at the Qwest Field box office prior to a remaining game (Aug. 13, Aug. 26, Sept. 9).
