Injury Update: Somoza, Jackson Return For June 28th Match

Somoza, Jackson and Galindo Improving Nicely

The Sounders are close to having two key defensive players back on the pitch. Defenders Danny Jackson and Ben Somoza are projected to return for the Sounders' home match on June 28th against Puerto Rico at Qwest Field. Somoza was originally expected to return for the current road trip to Virginia Beach and Minnesota. Jackson is recovering from a left knee injury.

Forward Maykel Galindo is recovering on schedule and has been training with his teammates minus contact. He is still projected to return to the field at the end of July.

Sounders Seek Revenge on PR and Romario Next Week

After seven consecutive road games, the Sounders kick off a five game home stand on Wednesday, June 28th against the Puerto Rico Islanders. The Sounders look to return the favor after suffering a 4-1 loss last week. The Sounders then host legendary Forward Romario and USL First Division newcomer Miami FC on Saturday, July 1st. In their last match, Romario recorded a hat trick as Miami FC downed the Sounders 5-3 scoring two goals late in the match. Don't miss these exciting games, tickets start at just $12.
