Sounders FC Takes on Toluca FC Tonight in Opening Match of Leagues Cup 2026

RENTON, WASH. - Sounders FC begins Leagues Cup 2026 play with a Phase One matchup against Liga MX side Toluca FC on Wednesday, August 5 at Estadio Nemesio Díez (7:00 p.m. PT / Apple TV, FS1, UniMás, El Rey 1360 AM).
Wednesday's matchup begins Seattle's Leagues Cup title defense, with the club winning the 2025 edition of the tournament. The Rave Green capped off its successful run last season with a 3-0 win over Inter Miami in front of 69,314 fans at Lumen Field.
Sounders FC began its Leagues Cup 2025 campaign also against a Liga MX opponent, defeating Cruz Azul 7-0 to open up the tournament.
The Leagues Cup 2025 win completed Seattle's trophy cabinet, becoming the first team to win MLS Cup, Supporters' Shield, Leagues Cup, Concacaf Champions Cup and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
Following Wednesday's match, the Rave Green play in its next Phase One fixture with a home match against Querétaro FC on Sunday, August 9 on the Emerald Queen Casino Pitch at Lumen Field (12:30 p.m. PT / Apple TV, El Rey 1360 AM).
