Following a Lamar Hunt U.S. Open quarterfinal 1-0 victory over the Kansas City Wizards, Seattle Sounders FC play its second game this week on Saturday as MLS play resumes against the two-time champion Houston Dynamo.

Sounders FC (6-3-7, 25 points, 10-3-7 overall) defeated the Wizards on Tuesday behind a Sebastien Le Toux penalty and a 1-0 shutout for keeper Kasey Keller to advance to the semifinals of the Open Cup. Seattle will play Houston for the second time in two weeks at Starfire Sports Stadium on Tuesday, July 21, for the chance to play in the finals of the American club team tournament.

On Saturday, Seattle hosts Western Conference and league leader Houston (9-3-4, 31 points) in the first of three consecutive league games on Xbox Pitch at Qwest Field. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. PT and the game is sold out.

Sounders FC owns the third-best percentage record and its 25 points is tied for third in the league. The Dynamo remains the MLS overall point leader and is coming off a 1-0 road win over Kansas City.

Seattle will meet Chelsea FC of the English Premier League in a friendly on July 18 on Xbox Pitch and return to league play on July 25, hosting the Chicago Fire. Both games will begin at 12 p.m. PT.
