Soul's "First Hit" debuts Sunday

PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Soul fans will now have a place to gather to route for their favorite team for away games when "First Hit" makes its debut on Q107 FM with a live broadcast from Chickie's and Pete's in Egg Harbor, NJ this Sunday beginning at 11 a.m. (et).

The two hour pre-game show will be hosted by Bill Osborn, Joe Krause and Steve Schultz and broadcast each away game from Chickie's and Pete's in Egg Harbor, NJ. It will feature music by Soul co-majority owner Jon Bon Jovi and have appearances by Soul players, the Soulmates and Soul Man.

The program broadcast will for all Soul away games, beginning this Sunday when the Soul visit the Chicago Rush. The game will air live on ESPN2 and ESPN2HD and will be available to see at Chickie's and Pete's for fans to enjoy. There will also be Soul giveaways, merchandise and various autographed Jon Bon Jovi items available.

The Philadelphia Soul, YOUR Team...YOUnited, continue the 2008 season in Chicago against the Rush on Saturday, March 9 at 1 p.m. (et). The Soul return home March 16 to face their rival the New York Dragons at 2 p.m. (et). The first 10,000 fans to the game will receive a Soulmates poster courtesy of Suncoast Mortgage.

The Soul are celebrating their fifth anniversary this season. The team has drawn an AFL-best 514,226 fans combined during the past four years. Following last season, the Soul were recognized with the Commissioner's Award as the Organization of the Year and were an honorable mention for the PRISM Award in the category of fan appreciation. Season tickets for the Soul's 2008 season are on sale now. Tickets start as low as $90 for a nine-game plan including a postseason home game.
