SOUL CLINCH PLAYOFF SPOT
The Philadelphia Soul clinched a playoff spot on Saturday after the Cleveland Gladiators lost to the Dallas Desperados. This is the third straight season the Soul have qualified for the postseason. During the past two seasons, the Soul have won their first post season game, only to lose in the next round.
SOUL HEAD TO DALLAS TO TAKE ON DESPERADOS
The Philadelphia Soul (10-3) will travel to Dallas to take on the first place Desperados (11-2) on Saturday, June 7th at 8 p.m. (et) at the American Airlines Center. Earlier this season, in a match up of two undefeated teams, the Soul overpowered the Desperados 57-28. The winner of this game will have the inside track on home-field advantage throughout the conference playoffs.
SOUL RELEASE DICKERSON
The Philadelphia Soul have released defensive lineman Mondre Dickerson. He was signed to the active roster on May 20 and only appeared in one game before being released on May 30th. During his game with the Soul, he tallied 1.5 tackles. Before coming to Philadelphia, Dickerson played for the Columbus Destroyers, New York Dragons, Grand Rapids Rampage, and the Tampa Bay Storm.
