PHILADELPHIA - Philadelphia Soul head coach Bret Munsey waived defensive tackle Michael Landry and signed offensive lineman Van Nelson and defensive back Rob Keefe to the practice squad on Tuesday.

Landry was acquired from the New Orleans VooDoo in exchange for wide receiver Chris Horn in a trade that was announced on Monday.

The Soul's roster currently stands at 24 players.

The Philadelphia Soul, YOUR Team...YOUnited, kicks off the 2008 season at home against the Orlando Predators at 7 p.m. (et) on Saturday, March 1. The first 10,000 fans to the game will receive a magnetic schedule courtesy of Executive Auto Body.

The Soul are celebrating their fifth anniversary this season. The team has drawn an AFL-best 514,226 fans combined during the past four years. Following last season, the Soul were recognized with the Commissioner's Award as the Organization of the Year and were an honorable mention for the PRISM Award in the category of fan appreciation.
