PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul announced three roster moves on Monday, waiving defensive backs Garnell Wilds and Chris Royal along with defensive lineman Tyler King. The Soul's roster now stands at 34 players.
Training camp continues this week with practices on Tuesday through Thursday at the NovaCare Complex's practice bubble. Any media interested in covering practice should contact the Soul's communication department at 215-636-0421 x. 176.
The Soul travel to New York on Thursday night for a Friday scrimmage against the New York Dragons. The scrimmage begins at 11 a.m. and is open to the media.
The Philadelphia Soul, YOUR Team...YOUnited, kicks off the 2008 season at home against the Orlando Predators at 7 p.m. (et) on Saturday, March 1. The Soul are celebrating their fifth anniversary this season. The team has drawn an AFL-best 514,226 fans combined during the past four years. Following last season, the Soul were recognized with the Commissioner's Award as the Organization of the Year and were an honorable mention for the PRISM Award in the category of fan appreciation.
