"Soul Squad" tryouts to be held at Villanova University

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul will be holding tryouts for the "Soul Squad" on Saturday, December 2 at Villanova University's Alumni Hall. All participants may register online at www.philadelphiasoul.com prior to the event and tryouts will run from noon - 3:00 p.m.

The "Soul Squad" is a co-ed promotions and stunt team offering high-energy entertainment for fans. Responsibilities include gaining crowd support, coordinating on-field promotions, and performing stunts during breaks in action from the game.

Following the tryouts, 16 participants (eight men, eight women) will be selected. Participants will be judged based on stunting and dance abilities, as well as personality and appearance. Women should wear a midriff top and lycra shorts. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older, a high school graduate and present a valid ID at the time of tryout.

Participants may register online at www.philadelphiasoul.com. Cost to audition is free and walk-ups are welcome. Tryouts will be closed to the public.
