Soul make roster moves

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul have activated rookie WR/DB Clarence Curry from injured reserve, placed OL/DL Dan Koons on injured reserve, signed OS Anthony Bright to the practice squad and released OL/DL Matt Zielinski in preparation for this week's game against the New York Dragons.

Curry (6'1", 210, Villanova) will see his first AFL action this Sunday after suffering an ankle sprain in training camp. Prior to joining the Soul at the start of the season, he played for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe after being allocated by the Arizona Cardinals. Curry spent his collegiate career with the Villanova Wildcats and registered 112 total tackles, 29 pass deflections and five interceptions during his four year career.

Bright (6'1", 170, Valencia CC) was signed by the Soul for the second time this season as a free agent. He became a late addition to the Soul's roster during training camp before being released at the conclusion of camp. In the 2005 season, he began the season with the Orlando Predators before making stops with the Las Vegas Gladiators and the Grand Rapids Rampage. Bright was on the practice squad for both teams. Bright played two seasons (2000-2001) in arenafootball2 league recording 121 passes for 2,035 yards and 43 touchdowns.

The Soul return to the Wachovia Center this Sunday, February 19 when they host their Eastern Division rival New York Dragons. Kickoff is set for 3 pm.
