March 27, 2008 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Philadelphia Soul News Release

The Philadelphia Soul will pursue a fifth consecutive victory of the season and a second straight win with Matt D'Orazio as the starting quarterback when they host the Tampa Bay Storm at the Wachovia Center on Saturday, March 29 at 2:00 p.m. (et). The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2 and ESPN2HD and can be heard live on radio locally on Sports Radio 950 and on the web at sr950.com. There will be a giveaway of 5,000 inflatable flags for fans courtesy of Aaron's Rental and Lease.

The Soul won their season opener 77-56 over the Orlando Predators on Saturday, March 1 and their road opener 60-49 against the Chicago Rush on March 9. The Soul won their next game 63-42 over the New York Dragons on March 16, but they lost their star QB Tony Graziani to a knee injury for the next few weeks. Last week, on March 20, with D'Orazio at the helm the Soul conquered the Los Angeles Avengers 71-34 in Los Angeles.

D'Orazio made his first start of the season last week in Los Angeles continuing to fill in for Graziani, who suffered a left knee injury during the 3rd quarter of the New York game on March 16. D'Orazio filled in with an impressive game throwing eight touchdown passes, six to league leading scorer Chris Jackson, in a 71-34 victory over the Avengers.

Philadelphia faces Tampa Bay for the first time this season. The Soul will try to improve to 5-0 for the first time in franchise history and drop the 2-1 Storm, who are coming off a bye week, to an .500 on the season.
