Philadelphia Soul News Release

The Philadelphia Soul (9-1) look to score their 10th win of the season on Monday, May 12 when they travel to the Gwinnett Center to take on the Georgia Force (4-5). The game kicks off at 8 p.m. (et) and can seen nationally on ESPN2 and ESPN2HD, while also being heard locally on 950 ESPN Philadelphia and will stream online at www.950ESPN.com.

If the Soul beat the Force and the Tampa Bay Storm lose to the New Orleans Voodoo on Friday, May 9, Philadelphia can clinch a spot in the playoffs, marking its third consecutive playoff appearance.

Philadelphia is looking to bounce back after coming off its first loss of the season, having been defeated by the Cleveland Gladiators last Friday, 67-55. The loss ended the franchise's longest winning streak in franchise history. Despite the setback, the Soul are still in first place in the Eastern Division.

WR Chris "Money" Jackson reached another career milestone during the Cleveland game by becoming the third player in AFL history to record 300 TD catches. Jackson surpassed the 900-reception and 12,000-yard mark for his career earlier this season. He is only 2 TD catches from passing Eddie Brown (303) for second on the all-time list.

The Soul are 1-2 all-time against Georgia, with the only win on the road. The Soul are looking for some payback, as the Force knocked them out of the playoffs during the National Conference Divisional Playoff Round last year.
