Soul ink three offensive linemen and one wide receiver

PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Soul have signed offensive linemen Martin Bibla, Phil Bogle and Kelvin Chassion to go along with wide receiver DeQawn Mobley. As per club policy, terms of their deals were not disclosed.

Bibla (6'3'', 306, Miami) comes to the Arena Football League after spending five years in the NFL. Playing primarily on special teams for the Falcons, he played in 31 games while starting in 21. After playing with the Falcons for four years, Bibla played on the offensive line for the Broncos. Prior to his NFL experience, he played for the University of Miami starting 40 of 45 games. He helped lead an offense ranked eighth in the nation with a game average of 454.8 yards and 43.2 points.

Bogle (6'3", 322, New Haven) enters the AFL with the Soul after spending time in the NFL for the past four seasons. He joined the San Diego Chargers in 2003 as an undrafted free agent and played in 15 games while starting in 13 of them. He was part of an offensive line that saw All-Pro running back LaDanian Tomlinson rush for more than 1,600 yards (1,645). He returned to the Chargers for a second year in 2004 before being released midway through the season. Bogle would spend training camp the next two seasons with the Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers before signing with the Hamburg Sea Devils of NFL Europe in 2006.

Chaisson (6'3'', 313, Oklahoma) enters his first season in the AFL after attending training camp with the Atlanta Falcons and Houston Texans. He was signed as a free agent with the Falcons after playing at Oklahoma University. The former Sooner started in 36 games during his collegiate career and earned All-Big 12 honorable mention during his senior season.

Mobley (6'1", 205, Texas A&M) joins the Soul for his first year of professional football after going to training camp with the New York Jets. He was signed as a free agent by the Jets after playing at Texas A&M for two years. As an Aggie, he played in 22 games and had 35 receptions for 546 yards with three touchdowns. During his first two years of college, Mobley attended City College of San Francisco while helping led them to a perfect 10-0 regular season record and a junior college national championship. He was named a Northern California first-team selection in 2002 and 2003 after tallying 27 catches for 444 yards with four touchdowns.

The Soul roster has 28 players with 11 returning players from the 2006 season (WR/DB Mike Brown, DB Clarence Curry, K Todd France, QB Tony Graziani, OL/DL Mike Mabry, WR J.J. McKelvey, OL/DL Dwayne Missouri, DB Eddie Moten, LB Raheem Orr, FB Wes Ours and WR/LB Sean Scott). They have four players they signed last season during the free agency signing period who entered NFL training camps this season (OL/DL Jason Davis, OS Isaac West, DS Aric Williams and DS Brandon Williams) eligible for Soul training camp. They also have one free agent (FB/LB Idris Price) and 13 total rookies (DB Dwight Anderson, DL Felipe Claybrooks, DL John Fields, WR Steve Gonzalez, WR Darrell Hill, DL Ron Johnson, DB Brian Mance, DL Bryan Save to go along with the four new players) who have been signed this season.
