Soul Game at Dallas to Air Live on Comcast Sportsnet

PHILADELPHIA (Wednesday, June 4) - With major playoff implications on the line, the Philadelphia Soul's game against the Dallas Desperados at American Airlines Center on Saturday, June 7 at 8 p.m. (et) will air live on Comcast SportsNet.
The Soul and Desperados have been exchanging spots atop the Eastern Division all season. Dallas (11-2) currently leads the Soul (10-3) by one game in the standings with three games to play in the regular season. Earlier this year, the Soul defeated the Desperados in an epic battle of undefeated teams at the Wachovia Spectrum, 57-28. The winner of this game will likely have the inside track for home-field advantage through the National Conference playoffs.
The game was originally not going to air on television.
"We are extremely pleased to see that this game will air live in the Philadelphia market," Soul general manager Rich Lisk said. "To have this game air was in the best interest of everyone involved, especially the fans. Philadelphia and Dallas have an intense rivalry and with so much on the line, it is great that the fans will have a chance to tune in and cheer on the Soul."
The Philadelphia Soul (10-3), YOUR Team...YOUnited, will resume play against the first-place Dallas Desperados (10-2) on June 7 at 8 p.m. The Soul won their first match-up of the season, 57-28 in Philadelphia, a game which both teams entered undefeated. Since that win the Soul are 1-3 and have fallen into second-place. This meeting will go a long way in deciding the eventual Eastern Division champion. The game can be seen live on Comcast SportsNet and heard live on 950 ESPN and at www.950ESPN.com.
The Soul are celebrating their fifth anniversary this season. The team has drawn an AFL-best 514,226 fans combined during the past four years. Following last season, the Soul were recognized with the Commissioner's Award as the Organization of the Year and were an honorable mention for the PRISM Award in the category of fan appreciation.
