PHILADELPHIA (May 23, 2012) - The Philadelphia Soul (7-3) announce that WR Donovan Morgan (6'3, 225, Pearl River C.C.) has been activated from the injured reserve. Morgan was placed on the injured reserve on April 4 after suffering a broken wrist in the Soul's home opener on April 1.

"We're excited to have Donovan back on the field," said Soul head coach Doug Plank. "Whenever you get a starter returning to the line-up it gives the team a boost. Donovan brings a physical and emotional presence that's so valuable to a team."

Although Morgan has only played in three games this season, his stats are still impressive. He currently ranks No. 2 on the Soul in rushing, with six attempts for 47 yards and No. 4 in receptions with 23 receptions for 213 yards. In just three games Morgan managed to score eight touchdowns for the Soul.

If Morgan plays as well as last season, the Soul have a lot to look forward to. Morgan led the 2011 team in receiving with 121 receptions for 1,957 yards and 37 touchdowns. The Captain also added six rushing yards, one rushing touchdown, and four tackles to last year's stats.
