Rattlers Shake up Coaches' Poll

CHICAGO - The Arizona Rattlers (7-3) found a spot atop the Week 12 Coaches' Poll.
Arizona received nine first place votes after handling the Utah Blaze (6-4), 86-70, in Week 11. The Rattlers have been neck-and-neck with West Division rivals, the San Jose SaberCats (7-3) and Blaze throughout the 2012 season. Arizona will look to improve on their 7-3 record in the next two weeks when they take on two clubs under .500, the New Orleans Voodoo (4-5) and the Pittsburgh Power (2-8).
The SaberCats fell to second in the Poll after falling to the San Antonio Talons (7-3), 72-47, in Week 11. Despite the loss, the SaberCats received three first place votes. The loss ended San Jose's four-game winning streak and two-week run as the Coaches' Poll No. 1. They will try to rebound in Week 12 when they face off against the Chicago Rush (6-3) at home.
With the victory over San Jose, San Antonio received five first place votes and moved from sixth to third place in the Coaches' Poll. The Talons have put together a four-game winning streak dating back to April 28. They will look to extend that streak in Week 12 when they take on the Utah squad.
The Philadelphia Soul (7-3) dropped from two to four in the Poll after a disappointing 47-65 loss to the Spokane Shock (5-4). They received no first place votes after getting five in Week 11. In Week 12, the Soul will face the Cleveland Gladiators (6-3), who is now just a game behind Philadelphia in the American Conference East Division. The Gladiators handed Philadelphia their first loss of the season on April 1.
Taking the fifth spot in the Coaches' Poll is the Chicago Rush. The Rush had a bye in Week 11 and take on San Jose in Week 12. Both teams are fighting to reclaim first place in their respective divisions.
