"Sons of Thunder" Premiere Set at Spirit Mountain Casino

July 8, 2014 - Arena Football League (AFL)
Portland Thunder News Release

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Thunder welcome season-ticket holders to attend the premiere of the documentary series Sons of Thunder. The event will take place on Friday, July 11 at 7 p.m. at Spirit Mountain Casino, and buses will be provided for fans that need them for transportation.

Sons of Thunder is a reality sports documentary television series produced by Heart & Hustle Productions that will air on Comcast Sports Network Northwest.

Using an all-access approach similar to that of HBO's "Hard Knocks" series, viewers will be exposed to the process of building a professional sports franchise from the ground up, introducing the AFL to Portland and creating a loyal fan base, initiating and progressing through a grueling team selection and training camp, and preparing for the first kick off of its inaugural season.

Our audience will be included in the grind, the politics, the lifestyles, and personal trials and triumphs of our athletes as they prepare for a series of life's small victories up to and including game day.

Through creative filming, engaging commentary, expert pre and post-production, and blend of community and AFL exposure; Sons of Thunder will share our athletes in a way that presents story lines that edify our audience. As well, this series will build a bridge between the real lifestyles of our featured athletes and all those who have aspirations to pursue a dream.

This show is being created to not only expand the relationship between each person and the city of Portland; it is aimed at branding the franchise in a way that unveils the team's identity as a catalyst aimed at positively impacting the lives of the audience; introducing the visions of Heart and Hustle Productions and the Portland Thunder.

Attendees will receive gift bags from the Thunder and the entire team will be present to take photos with, sign items for, and hang out with fans.
