Watertown scores five runs in the first two innings and gets eight frames from starting pitchers Rene Solis (St. Mary's (TX.)) to beat Newark 9-1.

Riley Norton (E. Oklahoma St.) leads off the game with a double starting a stretch where eight batters came to the plate in each of the first two innings. Pilot starter Phillip Flach (Samford) was pulled after that. He went two innings and gave up five runs (four earned) on five hits and walked four.

The big blow, though, came in the sixth. The Wizards scored four runs on three hits, to break the game open. Cole Gleason (Wabash Valley CC) had the big hit with a two-run double. Gleason finished 2-5 with two doubles, two RBI's and two runs scored.

Solis gave up one run on five hits and struck out four. Watertown plays an exhibition game at the fairgrounds tomorrow against the NYCBL's Syracuse Salt Catz.
