(SAN DIEGO, Calif.) - The Sockers team up this week with Looks Like Me, a San Diego-based organization, to raise money and donations for local children who have lost their hair due to chemotherapy treatments or other medical issues. As part of their Oct. 22 game, the Sockers will kick off Make A Difference Day celebrations by having more than ten stylists who will cut hair at Friday's game. For those who would like to donate hair, the minimum donation is 12 inches.

"The Sockers are thrilled to be teaming up with Looks Like Me and Make a Difference Day," said Sockers president Jim Hartley. "Our goal is to raise $10,000 which translates into help for approximately six children. This is a wonderful cause and we know our fans, as well as our players and staff, will support the program at our game this Friday.

Stylists from Studio 69 and Robert Cromeans will donate their time and talent to help the Sockers and Looks Like Me. Starting at 6 p.m., participants can get their hair cut on the Concourse Level of the Sports Arena. Stylists will cut hair until the end of the third quarter.
