SOCKERS FACE ROADBLOCK IN TURLOCK?
Already having clinched the best record in the PASL and the top seed in the upcoming playoffs, the San Diego Sockers (14-0) take on back-to-back games this weekend seeking to tune up for the championships while maintaining their perfect record. Standing in their way Friday night is a Turlock side that is a perfect 7-0 at home and played the Sockers to within two goals in a 10-8 loss at the Del Mar Arena on January 21st.
32 AND COUNTING: SOCKERS KEEP STREAKING
San Diego has not lost a game since December 27th, 2010, a 9-8 defeat in overtime at Stockton. The 32-game winning streak which has followed is the third longest in the history of US professional team sports, and a win over Turlock on Friday would push the Sockers into a tie for second place with the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers.

SAN DIEGO STREAK UPDATES
In addition to their 32 game overall winning streak, the Sockers have a number of other league record streaks on the line this weekend. They have been victorious in 22 straight PASL regular season contests, own a 13-game winning streak on the road, and have a 32-0 all-time record at the Del Mar Arena.
US OPEN RE-RESCHEDULED: MARCH 17th
At last we can state with certainty the date, location and opponent for the 2012 US Open Championship for Arena Soccer. The Sockers will travel to the Queen City and take on the Cincinnati Kings at the Cincinnati Gardens in Ohio on Saturday, March 17th at 7:35pm Eastern (4:35pm Pacific), one week after the conclusion of the PASL Championships in Del Mar.
CHILES RETURNS, EYES POINTS RECORD
Defending PASL MVP Kraig Chiles will return to the Sockers lineup this weekend after missing one game with a strained MCL in his right knee. Chiles, who has already set the league's single-season goal scoring record with 42 goals in 13 games, is seven points away from tying Bernie Lilavois' 2008-2009 record of 68 points in the regular season. Currently Chiles has 42 goals and 19 assists (61 points) with two games to play.
OPPONENT'S PROFILE: Turlock Express
The Express have not lost at home all season, posting a 7-0 record at Turlock Indoor Soccer. Midfielder Jorge Quiroz is 2nd in the PASL with 21 assists and 6th with 35 points. Turlock boasts quality special teams, leading the PASL with 20 power play goals and a 73% penalty killing percentage. Jesse Horta and Adrian Guttierez are tied for the team lead with 17 goals apiece.
OPPONENT'S PROFILE: Tacoma Stars
After making the playoffs last year the Stars will finish a disappointing fifth in the West this season. Ian Weinberg leads Tacoma with 19 goals and 24 points. Tacoma faces Tijuana on Friday and closes with a doubleheader Sunday in Anaheim.
