Sockers Announce 4v4 Tournament

The San Diego Sockers today announced the details for their Second Annual 4v4 Tournament, to be held May 6th, 2012 at Hour Glass Park and Miramar College. The expanded daylong event will feature age groups for both children and adults this year.

"Last year's 4v4 tournament was a tremendous success and we only expect bigger and better things this year," said Sockers general manager John Kentera.

Directed by Anthony Farace and Soccer Tournament Specialists (STS), the Second Annual Sockers 4v4 Tournament will feature age groups U7-through-U15 boys and girls, and for the first time, men's and women's divisions Age 35+ and Age 40+. There will also be 35+ and 40+ Co-Ed divisions. Teams will need to have a minimum of five players and a maximum of eight players. Awards will be given to the first and second place teams in each division.

The cost to sign up a team for the Second Annual Sockers 4v4 Tournament is $240 for one team ($30 per player) or $200 per team for two teams registered ($25 per player).
