SoCal Scorpions News Release
San Diego, CA - The Scorpions arrived back in San Diego Saturday night, unsure what went wrong in their 3-0 loss to the Los Angeles Amazons.
Although the Scorpions were without team offensive weapons, Desiree Barry and Carmen Cruz, the Scorpions were still heavily favored to win last night.
The Scorpion defense stayed strong as they did not let the Amazons near the goal line, but after a So Cal turn over in the fourth quarter, the Amazons were set up in field goal range, and the kick was good.
"This team has so much heart and solid talent and potential" stated team Co Owner Ann Bagala. "We have been unfortunately ridden with injuries to key players". Added Bagala
With Barry having a possible career ending neck injury last week, the Scorpions will hope Cruz's ankle will be strong enough for next Saturday's home rematch against the Arizona Caliente.
For information on next Saturday's game against the Arizona Caliente, please visit the Scorpions website at www.socalscorpions.com, or call the hotline 866-71-STING.
