Snyder Optioned To Bisons

The Cleveland Indians today optioned OF Brad Snyder to the Buffalo Bisons and recalled LHP Aaron Laffey. Laffey will start for the Tribe tonight against the New York Yankees.

Snyder was recalled on Sunday but did not appear in a game with the Indians. He began the season with Buffalo and hit .236 (17-72) with five doubles, a triple, four homeruns and 10RBI in 20 games. He is tied for the team lead in homeruns and extra-base hits (10). He had six extra-base hits in his last seven games before his first Major League promotion.

Laffey was 3-1 with a 2.77ERA in five starts with the Herd (26.0IP, 24H, 9R, 8ER, 6BB, 20K). He was the Bisons Opening Day starter and currently leads the team in wins. Over his last three starts, Laffey is 2-0 with a 1.20ERA (15.0IP, 7H, 2R, ER, 4BB, 13K).
