Snohomish County Explosion add new talent for Saturday's Game

MONROE, Wash. - April 18, 2008 - The Snohomish County Explosion Basketball Team has added four players to their roster for Saturday's game against the Portland Chinooks. Chris Adams is a 6'11" center that played at Fresno State University. Justin White is a 6'5" small forward that played at Seattle University. Troy Gwynn is a 6'5" small forward who played at LeMoyne-Owen College in Memphis, Tennessee. Tyrell Curry is a 6'7" power forward who also played at LeMoyne-Owen College.

These changes were announced by General Manager Brad Sturlaugson. "We have had to make some changes that reflect some nagging injuries to some our players, as well as addressing deficiencies on both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. Some of these changes are temporary and some will be permanent. We will see how everyone responds." Sturlaugson added that Dwight Edwards is no longer part of the Explosion coaching staff.

Snohomish County Explosion Basketball is an international sports organization based in Monroe, Washington. As a member of the International Basketball League (IBL), the Snohomish County Explosion will be defending its 2007 West Division Championship Title against teams from across the Western United States, Canada and China. Explosion LLC was founded in 2006 by former Microsoft Manager and CEO of Courtyard Media Group Inc. Nathan Mumm.

The Explosion have a 5-4 record and play the Portland Chinooks this Saturday, April 19 at 7:15pm in the Monroe Sports Arena at Monroe High School. Seats are still available by calling 425-339-BALL (2255) or at the Monroe Sports Arena Box Office starting at 5:00pm PST.
