Smokies Set to Take On M-Braves at Home

KODAK, Tenn. - The Tennessee Smokies, the Double-A affiliate of the Chicago Cubs, return to Smokies Park to take on the Mississippi Braves, Double-A affiliate of the Atlanta Braves starting Thursday, June 13. Come out to Smokies Park and enjoy a series that includes another fantastic Fireworks Friday, Pink Ribbon Survivor Night with a cap giveaway and a Father's Day "Play catch with Dad."

The series kicks off with a 7:15 game on Thursday night as the Smokies salute all of our educators on "Teacher Appreciation Night." It's also a Kids Eat Free Night, where kids 12-and-under with a paid admission will receive a free hot dog, chips and a small soda, thanks to Q93 FM. Every Thursday is a Knox County night, where if you live or work in Knox County you can receive a $2 discount on walk-up tickets. It is also a Pilot Prize Night, where everyone's a winner.

Friday's 7:15 game is "Mascot Olympics Night." Area mascots will be in attendance participating in on-field contests to see who can win the gold medal. It's also another "Fireworks Friday" at Smokies Park, courtesy of Pepsi, Coors Light, Knoxville News Sentinel, WVLT-TV 8 and WIVK-FM.

The first 2,500 fans through the gates for Saturday's 6:15 game will receive a free baseball cap with our cap giveaway presented by Hardee's, Comfort Suites East, and the Knoxville News-Sentinel. It's also Pink Ribbon Survivor Night; we'll honor breast cancer survivors with a pregame ceremony, then raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation by auctioning off special game-used jerseys following the game. Show off your big league arm with our postgame tennis ball toss, sponsored by Fast Frame, The Diner and Hard Rock Café - Gatlinburg!

It's Father's Day on Sunday, and we'll celebrate for the 5:00 game by paying tribute to our favorite superheroes as part of Superhero Night! Bring a glove and head to the park early, as we're letting you play catch with dad on the field from 3:30-4:30. Friday's also a special Pilot Prize Night, where everyone's a winner!

The homestand wraps up during Monday's 7:15 game with another Movie Monday, featuring the movie Monsters University. It's also $1 Hot Dog Night and Church Bulletin Night, where fans get $2 off a walk-up ticket purchase (up to four tickets) by bringing in a Sunday church Bulletin to the Smokies ticket office. It's also Sevier County Night. If you work or live in Sevier County, with valid ID you can receive $2 off a walk-up ticket purchase, courtesy of The Mountain Press and The Mix 105.5 FM.
