Sliders to Host Media Day Event

Springfield Sliders News Release
The Springfield Sliders' players, coaches and staff (including team mascot, Speedy!) will be at the White Oaks Mall on Sunday, May 26th from 2pm-4pm. Players and staff will be available for interviews, photo opportunities and to chat with media and fans about the upcoming season.
Families and fans are welcome to stop by for autographs and to hang out with Speedy and get to know the Sliders' players as well.
Members of the media are encourage to attend this event in anticipation of the start of the 2013 Prospect League season which begins Tuesday, May 28th at Robin Roberts Stadium as the Springfield Sliders take on the Hannibal Cavemen. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm and the game will be followed by a huge post-game fireworks show.
The Springfield Sliders are members of the Prospect League with teams in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Their 60 game schedule begins in late May and runs into August. All Sliders home games are played at Robin Roberts Stadium located at 1415 N Grand Ave E in Springfield, IL.
