Sliders Announce Promotional Highlights For Upcoming Season

With the season just days away the Springfield Sliders have announced several big events on their promotional calendar for the upcoming 2013 Prospect League season.
The Sliders will start the season off with a bang on Tuesday, May 28th for Opening Night with a huge post-game fireworks show.
The Sliders will host two more fireworks shows after their games on Friday, June 28th and Friday, July 5th. All three firework games begin at 6:35pm with the fireworks to begin shortly after the conclusion of the games.
The second week of July is jam packed with large scale events. The fun continues on Thursday, July 11th when the U.S. Military All-Stars come to town on their Red, White and Blue Tour to take on the Springfield Sliders in an exhibition game. The game will feature special pre and post game ceremonies honoring America's Heroes as well as special exhibits and events with participation from the U.S. Army. On Friday, July 12th the Hippest Nerd in âda Biz, Myron Noodleman, brings his nationally recognized super nerd talents to Robin Roberts Stadium. Myron Noodleman has been entertaining fans across the country for 14 years with his special brand of humor and dancing. Before the fun even begins inside the gate, outside the gate the Sliders will be conducting the world's largest noodle-drive to benefit the Central Illinois Food Bank. Faith and Family Night will take place on Sunday, July 14th and will feature a post-game performance by comedian/entertainer Taylor Mason. Taylor Mason is an Emmy Award winning comedian, writer, actor and ventriloquist. On Friday, August 2nd the Springfield Sliders will award a very special fan with $5,000 in cash during Fan Appreciation Night. Fans can qualify for the Great Big Huge $5,000 Giveaway Contest all season long by attending any Sliders game and participating in a ball toss game at the conclusion of every game. Fans who qualify during the season will have a chance at the $5,000 giveaway on August 2nd. If that wasn't enough, one lucky fan will also be given a chance to win a car courtesy of Giuffre Volvo.
