Salt Lake City Stars News Release
SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the official NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, announced today the team's theme and community night schedules for the upcoming 2025-26 season. These game nights will highlight local organizations, charities, causes, and cultures while activating unique in-game experiences and giveaways for fans. The full promotional schedule can be seen below, with more details regarding each theme night to be announced throughout the season.
The Stars will welcome fans back to Maverik Center with their home opener on Tuesday, Nov. 18, against the South Bay Lakers (Los Angeles Lakers affiliate). In honor of the team's recent rebrand, the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive the Stars' new purple jersey. Bluey Night returns on Saturday Nov. 22 to kick off the Stars promotional schedule. Fans will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with their favorite Blue Heeler puppy, Bluey, during the game, as Salt Lake City faces the Stockton Kings.
Expanding on last year's popular theme, the Stars will host West Valley City (WVC) Nights during three home games: Dec. 15, Jan. 13, and Feb. 6. Stars players will sport WVC uniforms, debuting a new design inspired by the roots and history of the Stars' hometown.
The first 500 fans on WVC Kickoff Night on Dec. 15 will receive an exclusive West Valley City replica jersey, courtesy of University of Utah Health. The giveaways will continue throughout the remaining West Valley City Nights, with the first 500 fans to arrive on Jan. 13 and Feb. 16 also receiving a free jersey, presented by University of Utah Health.
WVC Nights will highlight local community organizations and include unique fan activities. After helping six pets find new forever homes last season, the Stars will welcome back Best Friends Animal Society on Monday, Dec. 15, to host Pet Adoption Night in partnership with the local West Valley animal shelter during the team's first WVC Night.
Several theme nights throughout the season will feature custom jerseys, including Autism Acceptance Night on Wednesday, Jan. 21, Las Estrellas - Hispanic Heritage Night on Friday, Feb. 20, and Women in Sports Night on Thursday, March 10. The first 500 fans in attendance at each themed-jersey night will receive a free jersey, available for one night only.
Additional information on giveaways, promotions, and activations for themed-jersey nights will be announced at a later date. All theme night player-worn jerseys will be auctioned off, with a portion of proceeds benefiting local nonprofit organizations.
Throughout the Stars' regular season, three games will be hosted in partnership with Junior Jazz, the longest-running youth basketball league in the NBA, which impacts the lives of more than 60,000 youth every year. Each Junior Jazz game will welcome members and their families for a night filled with giveaways, concourse activations, bounce houses, face painters, player autographs, and more. Dates for Junior Jazz activation nights will be announced at a later time.
