
Slammers Drop Series Opener vs Florence

Joliet Slammers News Release
Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy fell to the Florence Freedom 4-1 Friday night.
Florence scored first getting three runs in the top of the third inning. Harrison White, Caleb Lopes and Skyler Ewing each had RBI singles for the Freedom.
Florence would get another run in the top of the seventh with a Jacob Wark RBI single. The lone run for the Slammers came in the bottom of the seventh with Chaz Meadows hitting an RBI triple to put the Slammers on the board.
Tonight's Merchants and Manufacturers Bank Player of the Game is Trenton Hill who went 2-3 with a walk.
Despite the loss Joliet is still in first place in the Frontier League East Division with a 33-25 record.
The Slammers are back home tomorrow to continue their series vs. Florence at 6:05 p.m.
