
Slammers Beat Wild Things Thursday to Conclude Series

Joliet, IL - The Joliet Slammers presented by ATI Physical Therapy beat the Washington Wild Things 6-1 Thursday night.
The Slammers started the scoring for the night with Ridge Hoopii-Haslam hitting an RBI single. LJ Kalawaia then hit a grand slam to extend the lead to 5-0 after the first.
James Harris hit an RBI sacrifice fly to score the lone Wild Things run to make it 5-1 after the third inning.
Trenton Hill bolstered the Slammer lead to 6-1 after hitting a sacrifice fly that scored Travis Bolin in the fourth inning.
Today's Merchants and Manufacturers Bank Player of the Game is Travis Bolin who went 3-5 with two runs scored.
The Slammers return home Friday, August 17th at 7:05 as they open a three game series vs. the Lake Erie Crushers.
