
Skyrockets to Hold Final Summer Camp of 2008

Minot, ND - June 26, 2008 - The Minot Skyrockets will be holding the last youth basketball camp scheduled for this summer on July 7-11. The five-day camp is being held at Bishop Ryan High School and is open to youths entering grades 4-12. This camp offers the unique opportunity to be coached by professional basketball players.
The camp is headed up by Kevin Rice. Coach Rice was a key player for the Skyrockets this past season, posting 13.7 points and 4.3 rebounds per game. He also received the distinction of being named to the CBA All-Star Team. He has won two semi-professional championships and two Defensive Player of the Year awards in the CBA and Europe. He was also the Assistant Coach for the 2007 NBDL Championship Dakota Wizards. Kevin has run youth basketball camps in the Bismarck area for the past 5 years, and this will be his sixth Skyrocket camp this summer. He will also be assisted by another Skyrocket player, 6'9 forward Eric Davis.
The camp starts at 8:00 AM and is split into 3 sessions which last 2.5 hours
each day. The morning session (8-10:30 AM) is for youths entering grades
4-6. The afternoon sessions are for grades 7-12 with the boys first (12-2:30
PM) followed by the girls group (2:30-5 PM). The Skyrockets request that
campers register in advance by completing the registration form and
returning it to the Skyrocket office. The form can be found online at
