Minot Skyrockets News Release

Minot, ND - November 3, 2006 - At 7'0" and 245 pounds, Steve Castleberry will be pulling down rebounds and bumping elbows under the basket at the Minot Municipal Auditorium this year. Castleberry is a big-man who plays at the Center position, under the basket. In college, he played at Rider University, and in the 2005, he started out the NBA season with the Philadelphia 76ers. Later that season, he played in the CBA for the Sioux Falls Skyforce. In 2006, he joined the USBL North East Pennsylvania, where he averaged a double-double every game and advanced the team to the play-offs, leading the team in rebounds.

"Steve has shown that given the minutes, he can be quite a productive player. He is big and strong with a nice touch around the basket. We expect Steve to give a low post scoring presence on offense and plenty of rebounds on the defensive end," commented Head Coach Chris Daleo.

Castleberry will arrive in Minot along with the other players on November 16, 2006 and will begin practicing on November 17, 2006. The first home game is scheduled for Sunday, December 3, 2006 against the Indiana Alley Cats. Tip-off is at 4:05 PM.
