Skyrockets overwhelm Buzz

San Jose, CA. In one of the best offensive displays of the season, the San Jose Skyrockets (25-5) built an insurmountable 42-point lead in the frirst half and cruised to a 145-92 victory over the Orange County Buzz at the San Jose Civic Auditorium. The first quarter would tell the whole story of things to come as Darius Poe scored 12 points to pace the Skyrockets as they built a 39-21 lead. Then things got ugly. San Jose continued to build momentum ending the first half with a 79-37 lead. Orange County shot only 22% while San Jose shot a blistering 53% in the first half.

It was more of the same with the Skyrockets leading 110-62 at the end of the third quarter. San Jose increased the lead to 58 points in the fourth quarter before ending the game 145-92 and a 53-point margin of victory. San Jose finished the game shooting 51% as they were 62-121 from the field. Orange County shot 29-109 for 27%.

The Skyrockets had seven players in double figures. Lamar Castile led San Jose with 26 and Darius Pope added 24. Anthony Woolridge led Orange County with 19 points.
