Skyrockets Name New Assistant Coach

Minot, ND - August 27, 2007 - The Minot Skyrockets are excited to announce the hiring of a new assistant coach for the 2007-2008 season. Don Sellers will be joining the Skyrockets' coaching staff, pending league approval. Sellers comes in with a spectacular coaching history in the CBA and several other leagues around the globe.

In 2006-2007, Sellers was the assistant coach for the Utah Eagles of the CBA. Prior to that, he served as assistant coach for the Yakama Sun Kings in 1999-01 and 2005-06, winning two CBA championships. Sellers also served as Vice President of Basketball Operations and Coach of the Harlem Globetrotters in 2004-2005. He has additional coaching experience overseas with the Chinese Basketball Alliance, the Hong Kong National Team, the Lebanese Basketball Confederation, and the Chinese National Basketball Association.

Sellers also has ties to the National Basketball Association (NBA), having served as a scout for several seasons. He was the West Coast Scout for the Memphis Grizzles for the 2001-04 seasons and the CBA Scout for the Portland Trailblazers for the 1999-2000 season.

I have experienced success in Yakama being a part of 2 championships and look forward to helping Coach Daleo and Minot win the championship they deserve.
