Minot Skyrockets News Release
Minot, ND - March 7, 2007 - The Minot Skyrockets and Town & Country Federal Credit Union invite you to THINK PINK this Saturday, March 10th at the Skyrockets home game. In cooperation with the American Cancer Society, Town & Country FCU, and Adam & Gray Auctioneers, the Skyrockets have arranged a special evening that will raise money for Breast Cancer Research.
The Skyrockets will be sporting pink jerseys to show their support for Breast Cancer Research. After the game, fans will have the opportunity to purchase these jerseys at a live auction conducted by Gary Adam of Adam & Gray Auctioneers. The game worn jerseys will be autographed by the individual player and then presented to the highest bidder. All proceeds from the auction will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
"Everyone has a mom, a sister, a wife, or somebody who is important to them. It is nice that we can use our basketball skills to raise money for important things like this," said Skyrockets guard David Harrison.
As a part of the special event, the first 500 fans through the door will get a pink Breast Cancer Awareness bracelet, courtesy of Town & Country Federal Credit Union. There will also be a free-will offering at the ticket office and Fan Stands to raise additional money for the American Cancer Society.
THINK PINK is scheduled for Saturday, March 10th when the Skyrockets take on the Butte Daredevils. Tip-off will be at 7:05 pm at the Minot Municipal Auditorium. Doors open at 6 pm. For more information on the event or how to purchase tickets, please call 839-SLAM.
